You always receive exactly what you give in life. To say it differently, you don’t receive what you don’t give. Thus the ultimate responsibility for fulfilling your desire lies with you.
Many of us are quick to feel disappointed or slighted when the life does not give us what we want; we overlook our own role in creating our experience. We are so busy wanting, expecting, longing, and demanding that we don’t stop to examine our wants, much less consider what we are willing to give.
You would do well to take this kind of close look at your desire, because what you expect from life and from others (some of you read spouse) is exactly what you are unable to give yourself and, therefore, anyone else.
